Can I track a trial that never sent me an email?
Yes. Manual entry is the main way to use TrackSignup: type the tool's name or URL, choose the trial length or the end date, and the reminder is scheduled from that. No email is needed and Gmail access is never requested for it.
I sign up for tools from several Gmail accounts. Does that work?
Each Gmail inbox is connected separately and stays separate: a tool tried from two accounts appears twice, once per account. The free plan connects one inbox; Tool Tester connects as many as you use. Manual entries can name the account they were made from without connecting it.
Where does the reminder go?
To the email address on your TrackSignup account, the one you sign in with. It is shown on every trial and on the confirmation screen. Changing it means signing in with the new address so it is verified.
What if I don't know the exact end date, or I got it wrong?
Enter your best date and edit it later from the ledger; the reminder moves with it. If you only know the day, the reminder is proposed for 9:00 the previous morning in your timezone, and you can change that. Marking a trial as converted, cancelled or ended cancels its pending reminder.
What does connecting Gmail actually let TrackSignup do?
Read-only access to the mailbox, through Google's gmail.readonly permission. That permission is broader than receipts alone, so we say so plainly: the scan searches for receipts and trial notices in a window you choose, keeps only the details you review and add, and never sends, modifies or deletes mail. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored access token.
Does TrackSignup cancel subscriptions for me?
No. It tells you before the deadline and shows what it knows about the vendor. Cancelling is something you do with the vendor, and we do not link a card, a bank or a payment account.
What is free, and what is paid?
One Inbox is free: one connected Gmail inbox, up to 10 tracked trials on the ledger, email reminders, manual entry and CSV import. Tool Tester removes the inbox and trial limits. Archived entries do not count toward the 10; the archive has its own limit of 15.
Reminder timing
Reminders are sent by a job that runs every ten minutes. The time shown on a trial is when the reminder becomes due; the email arrives on the next pass after that, so allow up to ten minutes. A reminder is scheduled when you save; delivery is confirmed only when the email is actually sent.
Editing and archiving
Every entry can be edited from the tracker. Changing the end date or the reminder lead moves the pending reminder; marking an entry as converted, cancelled or ended removes it. Archiving hides an entry without deleting it and stops its reminders; restoring brings it back. The archive holds 15 entries.
